Patrick Parsons to Sponsor Conference
15th June 2012
Patrick Parsons are proud to be sponsoring the upcoming half day conference on Sustainable Remediation of Brownfield Sites at Sunderland University on 6 July 2012. The conference is jointly organised by the North East and Yorkshire Contaminated Land Forums and the North West Brownfield Regeneration Forum. Grant Richardson, our Director of Environment & Energy, commented that “it is great to be in a position to be able to sponsor the Forums represented here who offer a great source of CPD and knowledge for their members and have helped to drive forward innovation in contaminated land regeneration during recent years, at a time when central government has failed to provide clear vision, focus and finance for this sector.”
The event will be attended by consultants, regulators, contractors, academics and developers and will consider the sustainability of Brownfield site redevelopment by evaluating: remediation techniques, building design, construction and end-use. It will seek to evaluate the role of policy, planners, developers and regulators in Brownfield regeneration via development site case studies.
The seminar will run from 9am -1pm and there will be an optional site visit to Elba Park housing and Country Park (the remediated former Lambton Cokeworks) in the afternoon.
The event is open to all members and non-members. To book a place, please email fas-citycampus-reception@sunderland.ac.uk and include whether you will be attending the afternoon event.
