HSI Festival a great success
26th June 2012
This weekend Patrick Parsons took part in the Heritage Skills Festival, organised by North of England Civic Trust, at Tynemouth Metro Station. Despite the rain there was a steady turn out throughout the 3 days and there was a real interest in the craftsmen and consultants at the fair.
With a chance to turn your hand to pole lathing or lime slaking the event gave a fantastic opportunity to trial traditional heritage building methods. There was also a healthy turnout from professional consultants within the heritage sector, including both architects and representatives from professional bodies; this helped to give an overview of the heritage industry as a whole.
Patrick Parsons were proud to have been part of the weekend and hopefully helped influence the public on the importance of heritage and conservation work.
