Picnopolis At Baltic Square Sat 16th-Mon 25th August

Picnopolis is a free event inviting people to share 10 days of picnic throughout the Newcastle-Gateshead Area. Japanese art unit, Tokyo Picnic Club, have created two kinds of picnic site as part of the East-08 programme; The ‘Motherplane' will land at the Baltic Square on Saturday 16th August with smaller 'Babyplanes' located at various other locations throughout the city.
Patrick Parsons Ltd have been appointed by JBH Design to assess the integrity of the structure that forms the ‘Motherplane' to ensure all its visitors can picnic safely throughout the 10 day event, which closes on Monday 25th August.
