Gerard is a Chartered Engineer, respected amongst his clients and colleagues for his commitment to retaining a practical hands-on involvement in his projects from conception to completion.
Gerard started his career with a multi-national engineering consultancy as a graduate following his university studies, before joining Patrick Parsons as a Senior Engineer. Gerard’s strengths are communication, client focus, commitment, project management, and seeing jobs through to their successful conclusion.
Gerard’s career to date has included all aspects of mechanical, renewable and low carbon energy system design in buildings, from initial concept to detailed design stage. He has been both the lead and team mechanical design engineer on a wide variety of national and international building sectors including healthcare, office, educational, hotel, governmental, residential, industrial and retail building design.
Gerard is an accredit building energy modeller, Level 5 Low Carbon Energy Assessor (LCEA) and Low Carbon Consultant (LCC) and currently sits on the committee for the Forum for the Built Environment (FBE) North East Region.
Outside of work Gerard enjoys fishing and cycling.
