Patrick Parsons’ Guildford office, The Stilwell Partnership, were appointed by long standing client, Tapton Estates to put together a comprehensive package of technical assessments to aid the planning application for the residential development of Derwentside Industrial Park, Belper, Derbyshire. The outline planning approval has recently been approved by Amber Valley Borough Council so the project is underway.
The scheme will comprise of the demolition and clearance of existing industrial buildings and re-use of the 6-hectare site for 136 residential units. The proposals also include access improvements and associated works.
The technical assessments provided by The Stilwell Partnership addressed many of the contentious issues and potential financial challenges facing development of the site and included a Transport Assessment, Travel Plan Framework, Geo-Environmental Assessment, Utility Constraints Assessment, Noise Assessment, Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy.
Other project team members included David Lock Architects, FPCR Environment and Design Ltd and Rigby and Co, Commercial Property Agents.
