Hydrodynamic Modelling

Our approach to environmental hydrodynamic modelling studies is bespoke and highly project dependent.

By understanding the desired outcomes of each study, we conduct robust scientific assessments of the physical and chemical parameters being interrogated and in doing so, provide tailored solutions to resolve potential issues.

We use the MIKE3 suite of modelling software, developed by DHI. This globally recognised platform allows for parallel simulation of multiple parameters as well as distributed computing options to reduce run times. The flexible-mesh and combined vertical z – or sigma-coordinate options give the model huge versatility and allow for optimal dedication of computing resources.

  • Thermal / Brine / discharge plume modelling;
  • Dredge cuttings discharge modelling
  • Flushing assessments
  • Oil spill modelling
