Our Newcastle office have celebrated success as part of the winning team at the RIBA North East Awards.

There were wins for two projects that Patrick Parsons were involved in – with Durham Cathedral scooping a hat-trick of awards: RIBA North East Award 2018, RIBA North East Conservation Award 2018 and the big one: RIBA North East Building of the Year 2018. Whilst The Sill National Landscape Discovery Centre also won a RIBA North East Award 2018.

Mark Turner and Leon Walsh of Patrick Parsons were there to celebrate the win with clients and the rest of the teams.

The RIBA has been celebrating outstanding work for over 180 years and their awards and prizes are regarded internationally as a mark of excellence and we are very proud to have been involved in these award-winning projects.

Patrick Parsons provided Structural services for Durham Cathedral on the Open Treasures exhibition: the project took over three years to complete and the exhibition opened in July 2016.

Structural, Civil and Geo-environmental services were provided on The Sill, Northumberland National Park Authority’s new £14.8m state-of-the-art visitor centre.
