BIM Level 2 Accreditation for Patrick Parsons

29 March 2021

We are pleased to announce that Patrick Parsons has received an accreditation in BIM Level 2, awarded by BRE Global.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is transforming the entire construction process for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction Industry and we can see that it has already made a huge impact in the way we build, ensuring that the industry provides better building quality, efficiency and sustainability.

BIM Level 2 defines what, when and how information should be created, shared and managed. This collaborative working requires an information exchange process, that is project specific and coordinated between the various systems and project participants.

Stacey-Ann Henry is our Senior Structural BIM Technician and will be working with all of our engineers to ensure that this process is applied to all of our projects going forward, she said, “Patrick Parsons aims to be innovators in BIM, providing our clients with the comfort in knowing that we offer the best possible service and solutions for project delivery.”

Attaining this certification is a great accomplishment for Patrick Parsons, which will have a positive impact on how we operate as a business and the level of service we can provide to our clients.

Conor Murphy, Patrick Parsons Director of Structural Engineering, said “We are delighted to have achieved this accreditation and are now embarking on the journey of introducing it to all our multidisciplinary teams, in all offices. The alterations we will be making to our processes means we will have improved operating efficiency, which in turn will link with our existing Quality Assurance processes.”

Having achieved this accreditation, we are thrilled to share the benefits of this enhanced way of working with our clients. We look forward to delivering projects with increased collaboration, improved data management, and enhanced project outcomes through the implementation of BIM Level 2.
