Imperial Wharf, an acclaimed development located in a highly desirable area on the north bank of the River Thames, offers a blend of residential and commercial spaces. This award-winning project was delivered by St George and is situated on the site of a former gas works.

Imperial Wharf lies between two of London’s most exclusive residential areas, Fulham and Chelsea. Set in 10 acres of parkland, with stunning riverside views. It’s situated in a peaceful location on the North bank of the Thames, adjacent to the famous Chelsea Harbour development.

The development has transformed the area into a vibrant urban quarter, featuring 1,818 private and affordable homes, a hotel, 37,000m² of commercial space, a health and fitness centre, a club, various restaurants, shops, and community facilities.

The ground required decontamination and the removal of existing foundations to prepare for construction. Patrick Parsons played a crucial role in the project by providing drainage strategy, flood risk design, and civil and structural design services.

Following the success of Imperial Wharf London, our involvement continues with the next phase of the development, known as Chelsea Creek. This unique waterside project further expands the offerings of this exceptional development.

In a case study video, Anthony Dinsdale, a Partner at Patrick Parsons, shares insights into our role in the Imperial Wharf project. He discusses the challenges we faced and overcame during the development, as well as highlighting the distinctive features of the site that made it a remarkable undertaking.
