Patrick Parsons completes work on STACK shipping container village

Multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm, Patrick Parsons, provided engineering designs for STACK shipping container village, a vibrant social hub in Newcastle city centre.

STACK had its grand opening on Thursday, 16 August, with 60 shipping containers being put into place ahead of the big launch.

The biggest project of its kind outside of London, STACK shipping container village features a lower level of shops, with staircases leading to an upper level of eateries and bars, as well as bringing the best live entertainment, late night culture and independent retailers.

Patrick Parsons provided civil and structural engineering services on the scheme, including the bridge across the upper and lower levels, as well as strengthening work on the containers.
