Patrick Parsons to deliver consultancy on Berkeley House

Patrick Parsons have been appointed by Berkeley Homes to deliver structural & civil engineering consultancy on their Berkeley House project in Kent.

The site for Berklocated in Sevenoaks, is currently home to an office building which will be demolished and replaced with a 69-unit, four storey apartment building including one, two and three bedroom apartments surrounded by over 2 acres of woodland and landscaped gardens.

The proposed development will have two basement levels. The lower ground basement will have residential units facing woodland and landscaping and the upper ground basement will have a car park and residential unit. There will also be an additional car park at ground level with a raised platform, residential apartment and access to a green roof landscaped garden.

The 1st and 2nd floor is made up of residential apartments ranging from 1 to 3 bed units, with cantilever balconies facing woodland. The top floors will have 3-bedroom apartments with a mansard roof and large dormer windows providing natural light and views to the woodland at the rear.

The development will be constructed of a RC frame structure with metsec infill inner leaf, brick cladding and large openings. Contiguous piled wall with RC liner wall will be utilised to form two storey semi basements. The ground and 3rd floor levels will be transfer deck slab to support the green roof at ground floor level and top floor lightweight steel/timber mansard frame structure.

Situated a short distance from Sevenoaks train station, the development provides convenient transport links, with the Town Centre and local amenities only 1 mile away.
