Taylor Wimpey appoints Patrick Parsons on Aldershot residential development

We are pleased to have been appointed by Taylor Wimpey on their Stanhope Gardens development in Aldershot, Hampshire. Our team will be delivering geo-environmental, civil & structural engineering consultancy on the scheme which comprises of 430 residential homes, being delivered across 3 phases.
The accommodation will provide a mix of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses, as well as several blocks of flats up to 4 storeys in height with 1 & 2 bedroom apartments.
Patrick Parsons has taken over the design services from another consultancy to close out the design process as requested by Taylor Wimpey. This has happened whilst construction was underway on site with groundworkers and piling contractors progressing well. This project is being led by our Birmingham Office, the team have had to react at an accelerated pace to grasp the current challenges, undertake some design changes and get ahead of the build process.
Phases 1 and 2 are being constructed at present and we are now designing Phase 3 of the works, where our geo-environmental team have undertaken an extensive ground probing and trial pitting exercise to inform the foundation design. The existing civil engineering has also been reviewed and value engineering items have been presented to the client where possible.
On completion, this Taylor Wimpey residential development will deliver an exciting new neighbourhood a short distance from a vibrant community full of shops leisure facilities and green open spaces.
