The former La Sagesse School site in Jesmond has undergone extensive redevelopment into a prestigious residential hamlet of 47 properties. Patrick Parsons provided all engineering design services required for this project, including structural design, site investigation, and infrastructure highway and drainage design details.
The development included new build homes and apartments as well as the refurbishment of a number of existing listed buildings on the site. The presence of trees on the site presented several issues for design, and was considered for all structures throughout the site. The refurbishment of existing buildings also proved to be challenging as they had been extensively historically modified and our expert heritage engineers were able to provide appropriate advice on the renovation and change of use of the buildings.
