Located on a 2.5-acre disused East London site, Patrick Parsons’ Ash Vale office was appointed to the Shoreditch Regeneration Scheme to provide sustainable transport solutions and sensitive highway engineering design.

The multi-million-pound developments comprises of 385 flats within a new 40 storey tower, 250,000 sq. ft of office space providing employment for up to 3,000 staff, 50,000 sq. ft of shops, cafes and restaurants and the restoration of an existing 19th Century Victorian railway viaduct. Patrick Parsons was responsible for design advice surrounding the car parking, access and servicing areas of the development.

We were heavily involved with the project from an early stage, providing a transport assessment and travel plan and advice around transportation and traffic, as well as a car parking justification report and management plan.

In addition to the regeneration and improved employment prospects for this area, the centrepiece of the project was the restoration of the Shakespearean Curtain Theatre.
