Frontiers of Roman Empire, World Heritage Site

Patrick Parsons has been appointed to help secure the long-term conservation of an internationally important fort and associated civilian settlement which form part of the frontiers of the Roman Empire World Heritage Site, Hadrian’s Wall.

The Roman fort is at Camp Farm, north of Maryport, West Cumbria, which is on scheduled monument land. It is adjacent to the Stenhouse Roman Museum located in the nineteenth century battery building on the cliffs known as Seabrows on the northern fringe of Maryport.
